Kid Speech AI is an educational mobile application for toddlers ages 3 to 5. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when a parent or guardian sets up an account and a child uses the app. References to 'we,' 'us,' and 'our' mean Kid Speech AI. Contact: support@kidspeechai.com.
The app is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are the parent or guardian of any child profile you create. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children without parental consent.
We do not use children's data for advertising. We do not show third-party ads. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.
The app uses speech recognition to celebrate when your child says words. To do this, short audio clips may be sent to a speech-recognition service for processing. We work with a vendor that does not use your child's audio to train their AI models. Audio is encrypted in transit. We do not store audio longer than is necessary to process a single practice lesson. Parents can disable voice features in Settings.
We share the minimum necessary data with the following types of service providers, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing services to us:
We do not share data with advertising networks. We do not allow third parties to use your child's data for their own marketing.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@kidspeechai.com. We respond within 30 days.
We keep account and progress data for as long as the account is active. When you delete your account, we delete the data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it (e.g., basic payment records for tax purposes, which are anonymized).
Kid Speech AI is designed for the Google Play Designed for Families program. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation as it applies to children (GDPR-K). We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without verifiable parental consent (account creation by a parent counts as that consent).
If you believe we have collected information from your child without your consent, please email support@kidspeechai.com and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for data in transit and at rest. We restrict employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
We are based in the United States. If you use the app from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email and update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
